Sophia Brennan is a dance teacher, choreographer and model living in Sydney. She is passionate about body diversity and empowerment. Soph featured in our Undone shoot with natural hair, no makeup and no retouching. We chat all things self-love.
ON HER PASSIONS:
“I am passionate about body positivity, diversity and the change that’s happening in the industry right now – that fills me with fire and I’m so stoked to be a part of it. I’m passionate about music, creativity and expressing yourself.”
ON BODY POSITIVITY:
“It means accepting yourself for who you are and not trying to fit into these unrealistic moulds that society has set for women, and for men as well. I think once you accept yourself, everything changes.”
WHEN SHE FEELS MOST EMPOWERED:
“I think having a platform on social media makes me feel really empowered. That something I can say online can reach a 15-year-old girl who is struggling with an eating disorder. “
“Self-care is a huge thing with me. I love staying in on a Saturday night with a face mask or reading a book or painting my nails. I love expressing myself through fashion & style and that’s something that makes me feel really good about myself.”
WOMEN WHO INSPIRE HER:
“Any woman that is fighting for change and passionate about diversity. I’m inspired by anyone who has that fire for making a change in the world, from Oprah to Michelle Obama and plus size models like Ashley Graham and Candice Huffine.”
