Greta Gercovich is a passionate PT and group fitness instructor who is excited to share her love of fitness with you throughout our 8 week program! She describes herself as active, ambitious and adventurous. We speak all things #rungirlrunclub with Greta, including her best advice for new runners!
HER MORNING ROUTINE:
“My alarm will go off at 5.15am and I’ll either be up for a run or a session at the gym! I will usually have clients or group sessions to take at 6am and after that I’m definitely ready for breakfast. I might also have a sleep in on weekends. And by sleep in, I mean 7am… Wild I know!”
HER TOP TIPS FOR STICKING TO A RUN TRAINING SCHEDULE:
“It’s important to have an end goal for your run training whether it’s a certain distance (6km Run Geelong) or a certain time (complete in 30 min). Knowing what you’re aiming toward will keep you motivated!”
“I’m a huge fan of checklists and visualising exactly what training I have and when. Do yourself a favour and jot down each training day on your calendar, ticking off the sessions as you go! Accountability is key, so commit to #rungirlrunclub or find a running buddy and keep each other motivated.”
BEST ADVICE FOR NEW RUNNERS:
“Create a cracking playlist that makes you want to move – it’s amazing what you can do when Eye of the Tiger is blasting through your headphones!
“Have fun with it and listen to your body. Often new runners will get injuries (shin splints are common!) which can arise from overdoing it and not allowing enough stretching or recovery time.”
THE CHANGES PEOPLE CAN EXPECT AFTER COMMITTING TO #RUNGIRLRUNCLUB:
“Over 8 weeks plenty of changes can result from regular training and a balanced intake of fresh food! Weight loss is a common result, but many will find improvements in strength and cardio fitness as well.”
“Not only will physical changes come from committing to this 8 week program, but moving around and getting active outdoors will get you feeling strong and motivated and you’ll also get to meet a group of friendly and like-minded girls! #winning”
