INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

March 1, 2018
When women support each other, incredible things happen. This International Women’s Day, we’ve designed three empowering tees which say LOVE, EQUALITY & POWER. On March 8, we will donate $10 from every purchase of the tees to Cotton On Foundation, to help empower women across the globe through quality education. Our collaborators wore them on location while we asked the inspiring women what achievement they’re most proud of & their greatest strengths.

LAURA WELLS

THE ACHIEVEMENT YOU’RE MOST PROUD OF:
“I think something that I’m definitely proud of is the fact that I’ve learnt to love my body the way it is. That’s really made a difference to my psyche and what I perceive I can and cannot do. I think that’s a huge achievement because these days there are so many negative pressures out there telling us what we should be and shouldn’t be, and to go against that and just think for yourself and love yourself for who you are is actually quite a big deal now.”

YOUR GREATEST STRENGTH:
“One of my greatest strengths would be to have the ability to see things from both sides, and try to put myself in the other person’s shoes. I like to think I can be a rational person to see how certain actions would affect other people, and try to integrate that into the decisions that I make.”

VALYN DOBSON

YOUR GREATEST STRENGTH:
“To be able to look in the mirror at myself and say ‘this is me, this is 100% me’ and I’m going to embrace that and show my love and happiness as much as I can.”

THE WOMAN WHO INSPIRES YOU:
“I would have to say my Aunt because she gave up her life after my Mom passed away. Being an adult now, I don’t know anybody in my life that would just stop what they’re doing to take care of and raise two kids. She’s totally my inspiration and I love her so much.”

YOUR MESSAGE FOR YOUNG WOMEN:
“Be yourself. Be weird, be outgoing, do what you love and live life with no fear.”

CHASE CARTER

YOUR GREATEST STRENGTH:
“As women, our greatest strength is being leaders of the world and being able to take any situation and do something with it. Women are the motivators and guiders of everything.”

DANIELA LOPEZ

YOUR GREATEST STRENGTH:
“My greatest strength is that I get happy when I see women lifting each other up.”

YOUR MESSAGE FOR YOUNG WOMEN:
“So many women have fought for you to have a choice, so go for your dreams.”
