7 HIIT WONDER BY ALPHA BABES
TABATA – 30 SECONDS ON, 30 SECONDS OFF
1. JUMP LUNGES
Start standing. Lower down into a lunge, then jump and switch your legs rapidly in mid-flight to land with the opposite leg forward. Lower down into another lunge and repeat. Ensure your back is kept straight and your leading knee is in line with your toes.
2. PLANK JACKS
Start in a high plank position with your feet close together. Hop both feet out to shoulder width and hop back to start. Keep your back straight and keep your core switched on; then continue the movement!
3. MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS
Start in a plank position. Drive your knee up towards your chest or elbows while alternating lead legs.
Increase your speed to increase your heart rate. Keep your back straight and your hips in line with your body. Engage your core muscles to ensure your hips don’t drop!
4. AB BICYCLE
Start on your back with your hands behind your head. Lift your right knee toward your chest with your left leg straight and lifted a few inches up. Lift your upper body up. Draw your knee to the opposite elbow, alternating sides.
Stand tall. Drop to a squat with your hands on the ground outside of your feet. Then jump your feet back, putting yourself into a plank. Jump your feet forward to a squat and leap up or stand up. Repeat.
Add a push-up if you want!
6. AIR SQUATS
Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Keeping your back straight, push back with your hips like you are sitting in a chair. Try to go to 90 degrees at your knees before returning to starting position. Ensure you keep your knees pushed out when lowering down.
7. SKIP ROPE
Jump 1-2 inches off the floor, giving the rope just enough space to slip under your feet. Only the balls of your feet should touch the floor. Keep your elbows close to your sides as you bring the rope behind you and up over head. This exercise is great for increasing your heart rate and burning fat!
8. REST FOR 1 MIN
REPEAT WONDER SET 2-3 TIMES
