Cotton On Body Foundation Seeing Double
In light of our campaign theme of ‘Seeing Double’ we interviewed two sisters from St. Nicholas Primary School in Mannya, Southern Uganda. This year we’re thanking our customers for 10 years of amazing support of our Cotton On Foundation projects, allowing us to build schools and provide quality education in areas such as Mannya. Find out what the girls love about sisterhood and friendship below.

NAME: Bamulekye Annet
AGE: 12 years
CLASS LEVEL: P5

WHAT SHE WOULD LIKE TO BECOME WHEN FINISHING SCHOOL…

A Doctor.

WHAT SHE LIKES ABOUT ATTENDING THE SAME SCHOOL AS HER SISTER…

Helping and sharing.

WHAT ACTIVITIES DO THEY DO AT SCHOOL AND OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL…

AT SCHOOL: Washing uniform, cleaning shoes and playing together.
AT HOME: Playing together and doing housework together.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SISTER?

She helps me.

DOES IT MAKE SCHOOL LIFE EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE EACH OTHER?

Yes, because when am sick she takes care of me.

A Doctor.

WHAT SHE LIKES ABOUT ATTENDING THE SAME SCHOOL AS HER SISTER…

She is a well-behaved girl and she gets food when I am not around.

WHAT ACTIVITIES DO THEY DO AT SCHOOL AND OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL…

AT SCHOOL: Food, washing, uniform and playing together.
AT HOME: Bed.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SISTER?

She is a sharing and loving sister.

DOES IT MAKE SCHOOL LIFE EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE EACH OTHER?

Yes, because she fetches water and gets food when I am not around.
