Bree Warren is the original beach babe. She grew up in sunny Queensland, Australia and has since founded The Wave Provocateur with her partner. It’s a travel blog that takes readers to some of the world’s best surfing destinations. We talk all things body positivity, confidence and self-love.
DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS:
“Happy, relaxed and determined.”
“My new Fuji X-T2 camera.”
“Barre classes and anything that works the core or booty.”
ON BODY CONFIDENCE:
“Body confidence to me is about being healthy, happy and just living my life! I think there’s definitely an element of growing up and realising that it doesn’t matter anymore. I don’t really care what people think of my body. We are all created differently and that should be accepted and acknowledged.”
THE WOMEN WHO INSPIRE HER:
“SO many women inspire me for different reasons….My mum and sister for being there for me every single day, Elle Macpherson for carving a career that has lasted a lifetime, Zoe Foster-Blake for being hilariously true to herself and Laura Geitz because she is just the most incredibly genuine Australian athlete you will ever meet.”
“For me it’s not really about practising self-love as such, it’s more about having zero tolerance for negativity and self-doubt. I just don’t entertain anything negative. I have always had a pretty optimistic attitude which has helped, but it is also about focusing on the things you love about yourself rather than the things you don’t.”
HER BODY POSITIVITY ADVICE FOR WOMEN:
“I think it’s about persistence, surrounding yourself with positive influences and knowing that you’re not alone! We all have our moments but body confidence is a process and it doesn’t happen overnight. I genuinely believe that there’s so much more to life than worrying about your body and your imperfections. It breaks my heart that young women waste so much of their lives hating their bodies. I really hope I can help change that for the next generation!”
